A multiethnic (Mexican, Japanese, White) actor born in San Bernardino County and raised by her single mother with the support of her grandparents. Her work ethic crystalized at age 10 while hosting and bussing tables in her grandparent's Mexican restaurant. She caught the acting bug in junior high and convinced her mother to take her to a casting call in Los Angeles, where she was scouted by a talent agent. So, she began making the trek to Los Angeles for auditions and bookings, driven by her grandmother.

Despite her mother's misgivings, when she saw Pilar's passion in action during a college performance of The Vagina Monologues -in a fervent, 20-orgasm rendition of "The Woman Who Loved to Make Vaginas Happy"- she gave her seal of approval, and off to Lalaland Pilar went.

She now has a robust television career with appearances in Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Scorpion, to name a few. Movie appearances include Marriage Story, Murder Mystery, and Vice. Appearing soon in Disney+'s Rise in 2022.
